[Green has skipped out on training, over the past few days, keeping himself busy with taking notes and giving his Pokémon a break.

He will, however, be bugging his fellow Pokémon trainers, both the ones new to Pokémon and the ones from Pokémon worlds, with exception to Masaomi. He's got quite a few people he needs to talk to. He'll find them wherever they may usually be spending their day, unless they're not seeing anyone.]

I don't like to be vague and ask pointless questions, but for what reason do people gather strength in your world?

I've had a poor conversation and need to have a better grasp of overall context.

This might be about understanding how people see strength, but more that... it's about understanding Masaomi.

I need to know both. If it's a matter of my world being so different, then I have to know that to teach him.

I'd think that'd be inherent. Nonetheless, have you made the decision to keep tutoring him in any one direction?

Yes. I've decided that if he wants to be a Pokédex Holder, he is going to have to find a better reason for being a trainer than pursuing strength. In the meantime, I'm going to teach him how to actually raise a Pokémon, since he has taken a hands-off policy on raising them and that's going to endanger others.

[Endanger, huh.]

Can you elaborate on that?

The people here don't have their own Pokémon, and there's a population of them that can't fight. Linda is a Pikachu - there is a chance she will electrocute someone, or lash out with her might with an Iron Tail or Aqua Tail. Pokémon have a wide variety of powers, all of which are dangerous for humans that can't protect themselves.

That much is reasonable. [He nods. It's something that will benefit them both, really.] Now how do you plan to go about teaching Masaomi how to accomplish this?

I'm taking the responsibility of training him off of Gold and Silver, and letting Gold work on teaching him how to better connect with Linda on an emotional level. I'm working with him on how a trainer is supposed to participate in battle.

I assumed the things you said. That's not the question.

I don't understand the question, then. Are you asking me what methods I use as a Pokémon Trainer?

I don't come from your world, so let's dumb it down to what you'll do as a mentor. This isn't a good start you guys have gotten off to.

It isn't, but this has to be remedied. I'll be teaching Masaomi how to give orders, how to understand what a Pokémon experiences in battle, and how to apply the strategies that Silver has taught him. There's a good variety of exercises, but in most cases I will train him as I was trained, which is having him fight Pokémon himself. That is how a Trainer knows how involved he must be, and how he realizes how important his words are in a battle. The commands should be as natural as though he were the one fighting, instead of the Pokémon doing it out of favor to him.

Give him a shot, and I think you'll get solid results from him. He's always learned better by doing.

One question, though. Before Luceti, have you had a student like him before?

[Have you had many students at all, is what he wants to ask. The impression he's gotten of Green though, from Masaomi and the others, is that he knows his stuff. He wants to give him the benefit of the doubt.]

She was the trained in question - she's a PokéDex Holder like most of us.

I'm sure Masaomi can learn, but he needs to understand. That's what's important.

Why do you think he came to you?

I have the most experience in training. He came to me after a loss, asking where Linda's weaknesses lie.

And why do you think he's cooperated with everything you've demanded of him so far?

He wants to get stronger.

He wants to understand. He wants to understand so he can be stronger.

Then I'll teach him. If he listens, I will teach him. But being a PokéDex Holder... that is a right reserved for those who earn it. Who show potential to be more than just your average trainer.

Gold gave it to him as a gift, but I will follow my grandfather's footsteps and make him earn it.

You're not gonna hear me contest that. I don't have the grounds, nor would I bother even if I did. It's evident you're good with these things.

But you're not as good with people. Are you?

I don't think many people are able to get along with everyone.
