[Green has skipped out on training, over the past few days, keeping himself busy with taking notes and giving his Pokémon a break.

He will, however, be bugging his fellow Pokémon trainers, both the ones new to Pokémon and the ones from Pokémon worlds, with exception to Masaomi. He's got quite a few people he needs to talk to. He'll find them wherever they may usually be spending their day, unless they're not seeing anyone.]

I don't like to be vague and ask pointless questions, but for what reason do people gather strength in your world?

I've had a poor conversation and need to have a better grasp of overall context.

Avoid being a burden. But for someone who's strong, part of their responsibility is taking care of those that matter. If you look at this post, many people want to be strong in order to protect someone.

But if I'm there to help friends in a fight I don't want them to worry about me. I want them to count on me being able to my part.

I don't want to be left behind. I want to be strong enough to help them protect people. I want to fight alongside, and help!

Does it bother you if someone is stronger than you? Even if you are able to avoid being a burden on them?

Where would you draw the line?

I think when I'm able to stand by my friends without pulling them down I'll be good! I don't want to be the strongest.

That all makes sense. Putting in the effort to contribute, but you're not competitive. That's typical, and it isn't hurtful in this situation.

What would be hurtful, Green?

[There's a pause, as he considers what to tell her. She's Masaomi's friend, after all...]

Consider our current situation. Do you feel it is a good idea to be fixated on comparing yourself to your friends, when we have enemies more set on killing us? Don't you think that the time and energy put into being competitive because of how strong your friends are is energy you should be putting towards understanding and pulling away from the Malnosso?

Priorities are meant to be set in a dangerous place like this. Worrying that you're not as strong as your friends are is not as important as worrying that you won't survive the next Draft.

[There is a long time before she responds. When she does her hand writing is sloppy from her shaking, but honest.]

I didn't think of it like that.

[There's a pause, and some pencil-tapping against the page in thought, before he finally writes,]

I'm having this problem with Masaomi right now.

Does that make us bad trainers?

[Her handwriting gets a little shakier. Oh dear. What if she's not doing the best for her Pokémon? What if she's mistreating her? Would they take Skarmy away from her?]

My conversation with him makes him a bad trainer.

[There's a pause, and a couple dots on the paper as he taps his pen.]

What is Skarmy, to you?

Skarmy is to me...

And why do you train and raise Skarmy?

It makes her happy, I think.

I want us to be strong like you, Gold, Silver, Red, or Ingo. I want that, I really do. But if Skarmy didn't like that I think we wouldn't do it. I want Skarmy to be happy and healthy. If she's not those things then something has to change, right? If she's not those things I'm not doing my job.

That's a good mentality to have as a Pokémon trainer. Your Pokémon depends on you for more than food and water, and the fact that you know that speaks volumes to me.

So I'm not a terrible trainer?

You're fine. You're on the right path. And you'll find something bigger once you're further down the road.

[There's a short pause before she writes back.]
