[Green has skipped out on training, over the past few days, keeping himself busy with taking notes and giving his Pokémon a break.

He will, however, be bugging his fellow Pokémon trainers, both the ones new to Pokémon and the ones from Pokémon worlds, with exception to Masaomi. He's got quite a few people he needs to talk to. He'll find them wherever they may usually be spending their day, unless they're not seeing anyone.]

I don't like to be vague and ask pointless questions, but for what reason do people gather strength in your world?

I've had a poor conversation and need to have a better grasp of overall context.

[Gold's Pokémon, meanwhile, are sitting on the ground nearby, staring at these knuckleheads while trying to imitate their game. ...With varying degrees of success.]

Best out of twenty-seven, then. [Silver's Pokémon are doing the same, although they seem... somewhat more successful. Feraligatr's got it down! Mostly. Murkrow's wings are cool enough for this, okay. Sneasel... Keep trying, Sneasel.]

[It doesn't help that Sneasel is trying to go against Aitaro, who, from years of playing with Gold, is a seasoned vet at the game. Politaro's got a decent enough grip on it as well, likely also from seeing Gold in action prior. Explotaro, meanwhile...

It's about Masaomi. How have you two been training him?

We worked through the basics. I've had him go through simulations to get familiar with different Pokémon and environments. [Sometimes he made him do simulations purely based on strategy, sometimes he threw Masaomi in the deep end so he and Linda could rely on each other.] ...I haven't really trained with him since that draft. [Maybe once or twice, but... He's been a hard guy to reach.] Before then, it was around once a week. [Give or take.]

He came to me for more training after losing a few times. Some of the things he said to me are troubling to say the least.

What have you been working into him about why we raise Pokémon?

[Well, Silver? Gold's curious about that too if it's got Green's panties in such a twist.]

[Why? To grow together. For mutual goals. Because...

...He... He never really thought about explaining that, at least not fully. There's so much about explaining Pokémon to people that he expects people to simply understand. He's said time and time again to trust your Pokémon, that they're your partners, but...]

[And Green thinks a statement like that speaks for itself.]

[...Well, that's a good way to get Gold to stop what he's doing, causing him to stand up, fists clenched.]

[Silver gets up just as quickly as Gold, if not faster; there's no way that's right. There's no way Masaomi said that. Green has to be mistaken. Somehow. Right?

He came to me because Linda was being disobedient, and he was failing. I asked him what was driving him, and why he was pushing Linda towards such strength. And he said it was for strength itself, so that he wouldn't be weaker than his friends.

That idiot! [Gold wants to believe there's something more to him. Something bigger than just wanting to be strong.

There has to be. Masaomi couldn't be that stupid.]

Where is he? What else did he say? [No. He has to hear this himself. He has to hear it here and now and- why?]

[Green then starts pointing fingers! First at Gold!]

He said that you showed him that being hands-off was a viable way to raise your Pokémon. That being lazy and putting in no care to have them listen to your orders was the same as getting along with them!

What?! [Oh hell no, you did not just imply that.] I didn't tell him anything like that!

I assume you didn't, but you're the one who gave him Linda and the Pokédex, aren't you? You are responsible for him learning what he needs to learn about being a trainer!
